Our speaker, Jessica Van Zwol, Healthy Watershed Coordinator, has 13 years experience assisting landowners in implementing rural and agricultural stewardship projects. Her schooling at both Universities of Guelph and Western fueled a passion for fish and ensuring we have healthy aquatic ecosystems that provide adequate habitat for fish and other wildlife in addition to reducing our collective impact to the water quality of the Great Lakes.

Jessica will present “Greening Your Grounds – Climate adaptations in your backyard” highlighting various design elements that can be incorporated into your yard. Rain barrels, rain gardens, permeable pavement and other stormwater management technologies help to conserve and clean the fresh water that lands on your property on rainy days.
