About

Lambton County Developmental Services (LCDS) is a network of people, working together to provide support for people with developmental disabilities. LCDS is a not-for-profit charitable organization that provides services to over 200 persons with developmental disabilities in throughout Lambton County. As a comprehensive, community services organization, LCDS was formed  for over 70 years ago. With a budget of over 15 million dollars and an employee base of  approximately 250 people, they are one of the larger employers in rural Lambton. LCDS takes seriously its stewardship of public funds and has worked hard to expand services and streamline operations. In 2006, they became the first organization in Ontario to receive a three-year CARF Accreditation Designation and again received three-year reaccreditations in 2009, 2012, 2015, 2018, 2021, and 2024. CARF is an international accrediting body that works with social service and health care organizations to ensure they conform to rigorous international quality assurance standards. The LCDS Vision of Inclusive Communities ~ Innovative Leaders and their Core Values of Care, Connection, and Excellence drives all their work in our community.
